Knockley
Dog Foods was founded in 1976 by its present owners
Terry and Angela Glastonbury. As breeders of show
Golden Retrievers and Working Labradors in the
70's, they found it difficult to source a quality supply
of dog foods locally and therefore founded Knockley
Dog Foods.
In
1985 they decided to produce their own complete flake
dog food so as
to provide a quality complete dog food whilst
maintaining value for money.
The cost of advertising, marketing, packaging, wages etc
that the branded
products were adding to the cost of commercial dog foods
was reflected
in the inflated price to the customer.
Knockley Dog Foods
soon became so popular that enquiries were being
received from all over
the West-Country, so setting up a
number of agents
in those areas was the next natural step.
To keep pace with customer demand and the developing
technology,
Knockley quickly moved into the "extruded Crunchy
food" market.
Sticking to their philosophy that its the quality of the
food in the bag and not the expensive packaging that's
important they expanded into the High Quality
range of dog foods whilst still maintaining value for
money products. Now using one of the UK's top dog food
manufacturers to produce
Knockley Dog Foods
you are assured of the same excellent quality
standards as other more popular branded names, at
reduced cost.
Knockley still sell their original flake foods but have
developed to now market a full-range of 12 complete dog
foods, catering for all dogs from Puppy to Senior,
including those with special dietary needs such as
gluten-free products.
